January Monthly Meeting

January 13: Weaving Boxes with Janet

Regular monthly meetings are held the second Saturday of each month, except July, in the Shiloh Meeting Hall on the north edge of the campus of the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History in Springdale. The business meeting begins at 10:00 with show and share, refreshments and program following. (Unless otherwise announced.)

The Shiloh Meeting Hall was built in 1871 as a church and community building. Over its long life, it has served many purposes. In 2005, the building was donated to Shiloh Museum by the New Era Lodge #36 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Fund raising for necessary stabilization and renovation began and 13 years later, the Meeting Hall was opened to the public. The Guild began meeting there as soon as it was open to the public. While maintaining its historic character, the building has an accessible entry on the east side and accessible restrooms. You can read a more extensive history of this historic building at the Encyclopedia of Arkansas (https://encyclopediaofarkansas.net/entries/shiloh-meeting-hall-8152/)
