This class is designed for adults who have never woven or threaded a loom before. Over the short two-day class, you will learn the vocabulary of weaving and the basics of handling a shuttle, winding bobbins, reading drafts, measuring a warp and threading a loom.
Here are a few tips to give you some idea of what to expect. More information will be provided when you register and as the class dates get closer:
All equipment, thread and handouts will be provided.
The first project will be on the loom and ready for you to begin weaving when you arrive. You will prepare the warp and thread the loom for a second project.
You may wish to bring a few supplies such as note-taking materials or your own scissors.
We suggest you wear comfortable clothing. When setting up loom, reaching and sitting on the floor may be required.
Many weavers weave without shoes. You may wish to bring soft slippers or socks.
Food is allowed in the General Store. You may bring a sack lunch, drinks and snacks or plan to go out for a noon meal.
Class is limited and first come first serve basis.
Only 4 Spaces available.
