This class is designed for adults who have never woven or threaded a loom before. Over the short two-day class, you will learn the vocabulary of weaving and the basics of handling a shuttle, winding bobbins, reading drafts, measuring a warp and threading a loom.

Here are a few tips to give you some idea of what to expect.  More information will be provided when you register and as the class dates get closer:

  • All equipment, thread and handouts will be provided.

  • The first project will be on the loom and ready for you to begin weaving when you arrive.  You will prepare the warp and thread the loom for a second project.

  • You may wish to bring a few supplies such as note-taking materials or your own scissors.

  • We suggest you wear comfortable clothing.  When setting up loom, reaching and sitting on the floor may be required.

  • Many weavers weave without shoes. You may wish to bring soft slippers or socks.

  • Food is allowed in the General Store.  You may bring a sack lunch, drinks and snacks or plan to go out for a noon meal.

Class is limited and first come first serve basis.

Only 4 Spaces available.
